Fishing boat is a type of transportation equipment on water that is used in capturing, collecting, cultivating aquatic resources or research and training activities in the fisheries sector.

Training ship is a ship constructed for fishing training. Purse seine vessels are those that are specifically designed to be used to catch fish with puse seine type fishing gear or often also called purse seines.
